Imperial Driverless is a student-led autonomous vehicle initiative based at Imperial College London. Uniting 30 members from highly relevant degrees, the organization’s goal for the 2021/2022 academic year is to represent the college at the Formula Student Artificial Intelligence competition.

FS-AI challenges university teams to build and develop the driving systems to run a fully autonomous vehicle.

The FS-AI competition comprises of static events, where teams present their approach to the autonomous racing problem, and dynamic events, where full-sized bollids autonomously complete multiple missions, the main one being a 10 lap time trial on a circuit at Silverstone, UK. We participate in the Dynamic Driving Task class of the competition, meaning that we develop racing software which is then run on a standardised bolid provided by IMechE.
